Ok here it is. This is my interpretation of why the students at Nkmaplqs i Snmamayatn kl Sqilxwtet like their school
AFN School Video Contest submission.
I was asked to help the students at my daughters school on the Okanagan Indian Band and interview them on video. Of course I said yes. I have the resources to do it and I need editing practice.
My daughters school was once a health building. Before that it was a preschool. My preschool. Before that it was a Government Day School. My mom’s day school. Our kids need a new school. They make me so proud. This is the difference Culture and Language makes to sqilxw children.
